624. BUD FISHER byname of Harry Conway Fisher (1885-1954). American cartoonist, the first to syndicate his own work on a large scale; creator of the comic strip Mutt and Jeff. Signed drawing of the two characters in dark pencil on verso of a Bookbinders, Philadelphia postcard, adding "1948" beneath. Annotated in another hand at top "10/11/48." Light dampstain over majority of surface of minor affect. VG. Est: $100-250
