1074. [VINTAGE SPORTS CELEBRITIES] Eclectic collection of over 100 clipped signatures from baseball, football, tennis and other sports plus other celebrities of the '40s and '50s. A sampling includes BOB HOPE; RED GRANGE; FRED PERRY; BILL TILDEN. Many have been cut from album leaves and affixed with tape at corners to larger vintage scrapbook pages, 12"x15", most of which can be removed from display, plus a few loose signatures. Most of the 1948 New York Giants clipped signatures are present [40], laid to inside 9"x11¾" manila file folder. Most have old clear tape over them, age toned. A fascinating archive with many uncommon names for the intrepid researcher. Most are boldly signed. VG with noted exceptions. Est: $100-200
