French Louis XV Style Gilt and Gesso Overmantel Mirror, 19th c., the pierced carved foliate arched crest flanked by carved corners to a stepped floral frame with a rectangular plate, stamped "A.B." verso, H.- 65 in., W.- 37 3/4 in., D.- 3 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. All carved corners are seen with some slight cracks. Approximately ½ inch losses are seen to the top right and left corners, exposing nails. Top right and bottom right are seen with small losses to the ends of the carving. The center crest is observed with some slight cracking throughout, and small losses are noted. A ½ inch loss to the beading is noted along the bottom edge. Mirror is observed with flea-sized age spotting all over. Some losses to gilt are observed throughout, as well as some areas of possible regilding. An elegant example.
