Description
An Egyptian Predynastic ceramic jar, Gerzean Period, c. 3500 - 3050 BC, the body squat with rounded base, two rounded and pierced lug handles and a wide, flat rim. The entire vessel is decorated with concentric swirls in deep red-brown slip. H: 4 3/4 in (12.1cm). Intact, some surface weathering and minor rim chips. Ex Roland Hartmann, St. Gallen, Switzerland.
