Description
An attractive Roman green glass two-handled flask, c. 5th Century AD, the rim collared with short vertical neck, the ovoid body with raised vertical swirls and raised base with wide, flat foot with deeply concaved interior, The two handles each in the same color as the vessel and with four pinched horizontal ridges. A handsome vessel with constricted opening in neck for dispensing precious oils and perfume. H: 3 in (7.6 cm). Intact with good color and light iridescence. Ex Donald Brown Collection, Boston, Massachusetts, formed in the 1960s
