Description: Marie Francoise Elizabeth, Daughter of Charles Amadeus of Nemouts and Granddaughter Henry IV of France, married Alphonso VI in 1666, she hated him and fell in love with his brother Pedro. Pedro ended up imprisoning his brother Alphonso and assumed regency in 1667. He kept his brother Alphonso in prison for 15 years. After he assumed power he annulled the previous marriage and married Marie Francoise Elizabeth
