[Foreedge Painting] Walter Scott. MARMION: A Tale of Flodden Field. Edin/Lon: Printed by George Ramsay and Company For Archibald Constable and Company/ William Miller/ John Murray, 1811. Double foreedge painting: One foreedge painting has Norham Castle, with a country lane and several buildings in the foreground. In the other direction, the foreedge shows Stirling Bridge. 8vo. Full navy blue leather. Short tear to inner edge of ffep, wear to edges of covers and spine crown. Binding, text, and foreedge paintings very good. Modern blue cloth slipcase has moderate wear to corners.
