Between the engraved title plate and leaf *3, there is only 1 leaf (the printed title). Leaf *3 is the first leaf of the dedication. Lacking at least the plate that would face Vol I, p44 and Vol II, p62. A plate in Vol I has light wear to its outer edge, several small stains, and pencil title in lower margin. Minor wear to outer edge of engr title. Faint dampstain to upper/lower portions of some pages mostly near end of the book, affecting margins of last plate. Incomplete pencil erasure in upper margin of prtd title. Vellum (probably late 17th to 19th Cent.), no free eps, hinges repaired. Markings to front pastedown.
