Artist: Vincze, Denes. 1967. cca. 84 x 55 cm. Vintage poster. Paper, offset. Impressive propaganda poster from the 1960's. The poster is a call for the young people to take part in the construction camp. These camps were typical phenomena of the socialist state; an occasion for young people to meet - besides working for the state. In the socialism, every citizen had to be helpful, and the KISZ, the Hungarian Young Communist League even took care of the free time of young people. To spend the vacation with something useful, and to build up the communism - the construction camps seemed to be an ideal solution for these needs. Even though, today everybody remembers them as a great party with many young people from all over the country. The composition shows a typical image about the worker, raising a pickax.
