Ron Arad (born 1951)
The British designer and architect Ron Arad studied at the Jerusalem School of Art (Bezalel) between 1971-73 and after that at the Architectural Association in London until 1979. Studio One Off was established in 1981, where he worked on further designs after the success of the Rover Chair. His most successful commercial design was the Bookworm bookcase. But also many of his seating objects such as Well Tempered Chair or The Big Easy can be repeatedly found in international Design auctions.
