GERMAN PORCELAIN FIGURAL CANDLESTICKS, 19TH C., PAIR, H 19":A pair of single candlesticks, one with a gentleman standing at the base with a basket of fruit, the other a lady carrying a cluster of flowers. Each is raised on a scroll footed platform, marked at the underside with Meissen crossed swords mark in blue (see additional photograph). Measuring H. 19 1/2" x 10". Circa 19th Century.

The gentleman has two chipped fingers, and is lacking the metal insert at the top. Both show fading to the decoration, and minor nicks to the flower details due to age and usage. Ln The lady has repairs to the flowers on the base and a repair to the right sleeve. Her left hand has been restored, some of the leaves at the back have been repaired and there are chips to the bobash. The male figure has had his right hand repaired, two fingers are missing, and his right shoe has been repaired. The base has been repaired. TW 11-6-14
