Description
Japanese Bronze Vase, Meiji Period, late 19th /early 20th century. Two section vase with high relief designs of cranes and pines on one side and pheasant and magnolia branches on the other; pine tree branch handles; base carved in the form of blossoming cherry tree branches; and borders with low relief designs of stylized waves, key fret and tortoise shell patterns, and dragons. The artist's signature on the base of the upper portion. There is an irregularity in the casting along the rim of the base. Measures 14 x 9.5 inches. We ship in-house for all but very large and or very fragile items and some international shipments.
Condition
Very good original condition, original patina, no dings, scratches or dings. There is an irregularity in the casting along the rim of the base that may be an old repair.
