A pair of ruby and diamond ear pendants. Each designed as a pear-shape ruby, within an old-cut diamond surround, suspended from an old-cut diamond and cushion-shape ruby surmount. Accompanied by report number 08319, dated 9th August 2013, from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, stating that the pear-shape rubies have no observed evidence of heat treatment, origin opinion Burma. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct. Length 2.4cms. Weight 1.6gms. With associated case.

Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with age/general wear. Mounts date from the late 19th century, with evidence of repair, minimal soft solder, tarnishing and replacement gemstones. Later added wires, stamped 585. Rubies pinkish-red, moderate to good colour saturation, vary slightly in hue and appearance. Please refer to report for further details. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions, some are surface reaching. Rubies in fair to good condition with some abrasion and nicks. Diamonds fairly bright, vary slightly in hue and appearance. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamonds in fair condition with significant nicks. Fixed posts for pierced ears.
