A painted folk art blanket chest, c.1807. Sometimes called immigrants chest. Made of solid pine painted with 2 town scene panels on front and dated 1807. Constructed with dovetail joints and pegs. Having original hardware reinforced with modern screws. 17"h x 46"w x 22 1/2"d.

Condition

Worn paint, strap hinges reinforced with modern screws, part of the top rim molding missing.
