Description
A pair of 1930's silver mustard pots with blue glass liners, each of cauldron form with gadroon rim, scroll thumb rest, foliate capped handle and raised on three stepped feet, hallmarked J B Chatterley & Sons Ltd., London 1933. Together with a pair of matching open salts, also with glass liners, hallmarked London 1932, and a pair of later salt spoons, Birmingham 1957, all same maker. Combined weight 12 ozt (373.3 grams).
Condition
All the pieces in the lot display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing to some areas and the interiors are quite dirty or stained. Several surface dints and bumps. Hinged lids appear in good working order and are struck with matching hallmarks. Some rubbing and wear to hallmarks, especially maker's marks but all still mainly legible. Glass liners appear in good condition, some minor rim nicks.
