A wondrous color poster for Carter the Great (1874 -1936). Carter the Great (Charles Joseph Carter) was a stage magician during magic's golden age, and he was among the greatest magicians, alongside Houdini, Herrmann, Kellar, and Thurston. He toured Europe and the United States, and posters like this one were produced to advertise his appearances. Code at bottom left edge reads SEC1-2-8SHT-VanishingElephant-4756-M. Code at bottom center edge reads SEC2-2-8SHT-VanishingElephant-4756-M.

Condition

Light soiling and a few dampstains, small tears to edges, some creases from folding; neawr fine.
