These piece has a medium amour of overall grime build up. There is a medium out of cracking and chipping to the lacquer surface scattered through out. This surface is fragile and can easily be chipped with light touching, especially in the black. There are over a dozen .5" - 2" diameter grazed chips to the surface with pigment loss, exposing the gesso and wood below. One of these figures is missing 2" of the index finger on the lower left hand. Both of the metal banding on the top of the torches have noticeable denting. Both torches are electrified with three bulbs and have a functioning dimmer. There is light overall gilt wear that appears to be more significant on the pillow and arm bands. One of the back tassels on pillow has a split in the wood where it is in mounted to the pillow, this may have as past repair and is slightly loose.
