Description
Three items of jewellery. To include an Edwardian silver hatpin by Charles Horner, an early 20th century 9ct gold brooch by Murrle Bennett & Co., together with a reconstituted amber pendant. Maker's marks for Charles Horner and Murrle Bennett & Co respectively. First with hallmarks for Chester, partially indistinct. Lengths 21 to 4.5cms. Total weight 17.6gms.
Condition
Overall condition good. Some surface wear and tarnishing in keeping with age/general wear. Scroll detail to the hatpin is slightly misshapen in places. Discolouration to the base metal hat pin. Brooch with replacement pin. Some evidence of repair to the reverse. Wear to the gilt surface. Reconstituted amber in fair condition with some surface reaching fissures, durability around one may be impaired. Length of amber pendant 6cms. Brooch stamped 9ct. Weight of hat pin 6.6gms. Weight of brooch 1.3gms. Weight of reconstituted amber pendant 9.6gms.
