Description
20th/21st century. An egg-shell thin, flattened pear shaped vase with tall flaring neck and oval foot ring, the sides fluted to resemble bamboo. Covered in a satin-finish light blue glaze with two shaped reserves edged in gold, on opposing sides. One reserve painted with polychrome enamels to depict two birds among lotus, with artist's seal. The other side depicts two mandarin ducks among chrysanthemums, with artist's signature "Xiao Cun" and seal. With four character red "Jingdezhen zhi" mark to base. Approx. 10 1/8 by 4 1/2 in., 25.7 by 11.5 cm.
