Description
West Coast Native Ditidahat Makah Warrior Mask Red cedar, cedar bark, feathers, painted & 10 inch in height & 8 inches deep. This mask has a very powerfull presence. Warrior mask is inlayed with very high quality abalone and painting is amazing. Great piece of art, made by first nation master carver Russell Tate. Russell Tate Ditidaht Russell Tate is from the Ditidaht First Nation on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island. He started carving in 2004, artists such as Art Thompson and the artists on the Ravens and Eagles show inspired him. Russell learned how to wood carved mostly working on his own. He specializes in masks and paddles, but is now working on small poles and miniatures for regalia. Russell has worked with Ben David and Cecil Dawson, and has collaborated on several pieces with Cecil
