Historical Land Grant of 565 Acres to Lt Colonel John Armstrong for his heroic deeds against the American Indians on the Pennsylvania frontier. Colonel Armstrong lead 300 Soldiers deep into Hostile territory Kittanning Expedition, also known as the Armstrong Expedition or the Battle of Kittanning was a decisive victory during the French and Indian War. As a reward then Colonel Armstrong was granted this land directly from the Penn Brothers in 1756. Colonel Armstrong went on to become Major General Armstrong and fought with General George Washington during the Revolutionary War. This Framed Land Deed was recorded in 1915.
