English mahogany box has brass strapped corners, inlaid double banded borders, escutcheon on the lid, lock plate and brass side handles; the lid lifts up with a leather writing surface, drop down compartment in the lid, lift top interior compartment, inkwell and pen tray dividers, removable interior box with lift up lid and hidden button latch releasing an interior panel covering 2 small drawers and open compartment. Has key, lock has been blown out at the front of the box and repaired, box is restored and refinished with minor pulling to the brass straps and inlays. 7 in. high x 18 in. wide x 10.25 in. deep.
