This Mole Richardson spotlight is not only a symbol of movie star dreams but also a symbol of American innovation. The first spotlights were built by the Mole Richardson company in a small garage in Hollywood. In the first eight years of its operation, the company would win the first of four Academy Awards for its spotlights. This iron and glass three-legged movie spotlight continues in this legacy.
