Description
An archaic Greek terracotta votive alter, c. 6th Century BC, in the form of a simple table, slab built, with four flat rectangular legs, the two on the rear rising above the top of the table. L: 8 1/2 in (21.6cm.), W: 3 in (7.6cm). Surfaces with light deposits throughout with no signs of having been originally slipped or painted. Ex collection of Baron v.d. E., Belgium, acquired in the 1950-60s.
