A wide collection of photographs of movie stars and other entertainers, c. 1930s, mostly signed; highlights include vintage photographs of Boris Karloff, signed and inscribed "For Gordon Proctor with the best wishes. Boris Karloff" on lower left corner, and Al Bowlly, signed "Sincerely Al Bowlly" on right margin, both mounted, framed and glazed; signed postcard photographs of Tom Keene, Ramon Novarro, Paul Lukas, Lew Stone and Tallulah Bankhead; signed postcard photographs of Sam Browne, Ivor Novello, Sydney Howard and others. Also in this lot are two autograph albums with original cloths, c. 1930s. The first album comprises clipped signatures and autographs of musicians, band members and actors, including Billy Cotton and his band, Mr Geraldo, Harry Roy, Boris Karloff and Al Bowlly; the second album contains autographs of players of English footballers, comprising Millwall, Fulham, Northampton, Arsenal, West Ham and others.
