Very good condition

The edition C which was offered in the 253rd choice of the edition Griffelkunst in Hamburg, comprising 3 photographs and 3 linocuts by Günther Förg. The series of the 3 linocuts is complete here and supplemented by an unsigned double to the subject C5.

Condition:

The 4 linocuts each show a small upsetting in the lower right corner. Otherwise the condition is very good. The images measure each ca. 29.5 x 21.2 cm, the sheets are 40 x 30 cm.

Günther Förg (1952-2013)

Förg studied from 1973 to 1979 under Karl Fred Dahmen at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 1984 he participated in the exhibition ‘von hier aus – Zwei Monate neue Deutsche Kunst in Düsseldorf’ and was represented at the 1992 documenta IX in Kassel. Förg taught from 1992 to 1999 at the Academy for Design in Karlsruhe and then became a professor at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. Günther Förg's works are characterized by the exploration of materiality and spatial reference, for which he finds a pictorial language across material and media. (fea)
