Description
19th century Chinese crackleware vase. Blue, yellow, compound green underglaze. Thick lustrous glaze shows a tinge of buff, the crackle is bold and and strongly marked. Ware of this type was called Sui-ki. It’s invention is ascribed to the potters of the province of Shen-si and to the early years of the twelfth century. 16" x 7"
