The San Francisco based publication, “Search & Destroy,” was started by V. Vale in 1977 with a donation of $200 from Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Allen Ginsberg. “Search & Destroy,” was a hugely influential force in the early Punk scene in America. The magazine made a name for itself in the British rock scene as well, reporting on and interviewing performers such as: Iggy Pop, Blondie, Dead Kennedys, X, Devo, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, Sham 69, Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Buzzcocks. In this complete set, there is also an article on fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. An uncommon complete set of the eleven original publications.
The eleven original issues are in very good condition with minor rubbing and toning to the edges. The works are clean and sound. They are loose in their tabloid format, approximately 45 cm x 29 cm each.
