Description
South Italy, Magna Graecia, ca. 350 BCE. Two part covered vessel on raised foot and with knob handle; decorated atop with two heads of Ladies of Fashion, both wearing a radiate stephane and kekryphalos, with palmettes between and rays on the top-knop, with a wave pattern around the lid rim and rays around the base rim. Size: 6"W handle span x 4"H.
