Item Details

Description

Dr. H Crippin Handwritten Letter(1862-1910). American born murderer who poisoned his wife and was executed in Pentonville. Item consists of a letter written on printed stationary of the Aural Remedies Company, dating June 9th 1910. Crippen sends his correspondent a copy of the Ontological Gazette (no longer present) which he states: "full particulars of my simple home treatment for deafness and noises to the head". He continues to complete an analytical form upon which Crippen remarks "Deafness is a progressive aliment and each single day means a firmer hold on the disease". Signed in black ink Dr. H Crippen. Professionally matted in ivory and framed and glazed in gold frame.
