Last edition of this scarce directory before the opening that year of Disneyland, which is listed as a member of the association (Burbank, California, C.V. Wood, Jr., Vice President), and also appears in the directory of outdoor amusements as "Now in process of Construction".

The opening of Disneyland would forever change the face of American "outdoor amusements". Symbolically, the next annual meeting of the National Association, in 1956, would be held at Disneyland. This directory is both a harbinger of the future and a memento of the old Coney Island era of water slides,ferris wheels, roller coasters, kiddy cars and merry go rounds.
