This extravagant bureau plat was made in the late 19th Century in the style of Boulle. Paper-thin brass inlays in floral forms adorn the table top, interrupted only by minimal circular mother of pearl dots. The apron is adorned in the same way. The border of the table plate is decorated with a gilded fillet. The curved legs wear lush vegetative brass adornments on their knees and feet. The drawer is veneered inside.
Condition:
The table is in beautiful but used condition. The reverse of the apron is visibly bleached, the ebonizing is partially very thin and some of the inlays come off. The table top can be protected under a glass plate. The dimensions of the table are 140 cm broad; 76 cm deep, 78 cm high.
