Description
A GROUP OF THREE RUSSIAN EASTER EGGS, 19TH CENTURY. Comprising two silver engraved examples, both hallmarked Moscow and dated 1889 and both opening to reveal later inset painted icons of the Mother of God. Together with a lacquer painted egg with a Resurrected Christ, probably Fedoskino. Together with a later silver and enamel Soviet-period salt, enameled in Cyrillic "Kiev". Greatest height 3 inches (7.5 cm).
