Description
A RARE RUSSIAN EXPORTED PRESENTATION MERWIN HULBERT & CO. POCKET ARMY REVOLVER. Presented to Lieutenant (later General) Fedor Petrovich Rerberg (1868-1928). Six shot with fluted cylinder, 3-5/16 inch barrel, nickel plated finish, hard rubber grips, bird’s head butt, serial number 7476. The grip medallions engraved in Russian on both sides. On the left side with award inscription for marksmanship dated 25 July 1887. The right side medallion with presentation inscription to “F. Rerberg from the Corps of Pages". Overall very good condition.

The son of St. Petersburg nobility, Rerberg served in WWI and in the White Army during the Revolution. He began his career graduating from the Corps of Pages in 1887 and then onto the Life Guards Semenov Regiment. After service in Russian-Japanese War, WWI and the Revolution he was eventually evacuated to Alexandria, Egypt where he died in 1928. Among his many awards are the Order of St. Stanislaus (2nd and 3rd degree), Order of St. Anne (2nd and 3rd degree), Order of St. Vladimir and others. This lot requires Federal Firearms License (FFL) for transfer of purchase and shipment.
