A FOUR PIECE GROUP OF AFRICAN CULTURE WOOD CARVINGS, 20TH CENTURY. Comprising a large Senufo figural double headed rhythm pounder, a two legged shovel head figure, a possibly Malaysian coast standing figure with snake skin, glass beads, raffia, and metal decoration. A carved elephant stand together with an American artist carved walnut bust by Laurence Schmekebier entitled “The Senator” with 1954 Cleveland Museum of Art exhibition label and a folk art carved walking stick with figural bust. The largest 34.75 inches (88 cm).
