circa 1862. depicting Charleston, South Carolina's Drayton Hall and Magnolia Plantation giving detail of acerage and land content of tree and field along with the Ashley River and roads. signed at the bottom "P.S. will take the lines as recommended by Col. Yates Vig The Center of the road J.E.S." likely initialed by General James Edwin Slaughter of Cedar Mountain, Virginia. James Edwin Slaughter served as Inspector General on the Staff of General P.G.T. Beauregard who was commanding the defenses of Charleston during this time.
