Description
PAINTED BOX. Attributed to Seymour Lindsay (1848-1927. Lexington, Ohio house painter and folk artist). Dovetailed box lined with floral print paper. The outside is hand painted with a landscape on three sides consisting of rivers with deer, bald eagles and swans. The back side has robin's egg blue paint with faint black scrolls and animals. Original paint. Minor wear with some scratch carving on the back. 6 1/2"w. 4 1/2"d. 3 3/4"h. Ex Joe Dush. Ex Momchilov.
