Early Southern inlaid cupboard Overton County, TN

Overton County, Tennessee walnut cupboard with the inlaid initials "M W". The inlaid "M" and "W" in each panel door are the initials of the original owner, Mary Willard, of Overton Co., TN. Dovetailed drawers, scratch beaded drawers and doors, bracket feet, cherry veneered frieze below the cornice. Shelves with dowel rods above them in the top, one shelf in lower portion. Remnants of paper in bottom shelf. Tongue and groove boards on back. Walnut primary, poplar secondary. 46" width (defined by cornice) x 19" depth x 85 1/2" height. Condition - old wear and loss to bracket feet, brass knobs are not original to cupboard. Circa 1820.
