Civil War Broadside and June 1861 Tri Weekly Whig newspaper, Knoxville, TN. The Brownlow broadside is titled, "A PATRIOTIC CHAPTER IN THE HISTORY OF THE GREAT REBELLION. PARSON BROWNLOW'S FAREWELL ADDRESS, IN VIEW OF HIS IMPRISONMENT BY THE REBELS." Philadelphia:Published by Thomas W. Hartley, Oct. 24, 1861. Broadside printed in two columns with Brownlow's portrait and two engraved flags. Matted and framed. Very good condition. 10 1/2" x 14" broadside (sight), 16" x 20" frame. Circa 1861. The Tri Weekly Whig newspaper is the Thursday, June 20, 1861 edition, published by W.G. Brownlow. The paper contains a large article on "Latest War News". Condition - broadside very good condition, newspaper has creasing at seams, minor tears and browning to upper right corner. Circa 1861.
