Dated Tennessee Theorem

Earliest known Tennessee theorem dated 1840 from Jonesborough, Tennessee. This theorem was previously on loan and exhibited at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville. Theorem design has been cut out and affixed to a paper background. The bottom is inscribed, "Miss Mary L. Isbell 1840". Condition - browning of background, abrasions to fruit, expected wear for age. 7 3/8" x 9 1/2" theorem, 14" x 16" frame. Circa 1840.
