Sugar chest, Tennessee, possibly Davidson County. Cherry primary, poplar secondary. Dovetailed case and drawer. Condition - refinished exterior, interior of box cleaned, divider replaced, patch to inside back leg, patch to back board where hinge broke out, replaced hinges, top of box possibly replaced. Scribe lines and undisturbed dovetails on back indicates back of box is original. Dovetails to drawer sides match up with case. 35 3/4" height x 25" width x 19 1/4" depth. Circa 1830.
