Exceptional Southern side chair, Chattanooga, TN or Northern GA area. Slender oval finials, concave ring turnings on front and back stiles, shaped slats, large baluster bulbous turning on front stretcher, and turned feet. Retains the original seat, brown paint with an earlier brown coat underneath. Condition - damage to seat, otherwise very good condition. 36 1/2" ht x 18 1/2" width x 14 1/2" depth. Mid 19th century.
