Exceptional Southern Federal mantle, Knox County, Tennnessee. Elaborated stepped crown molding over three fluted pilasters flanking two panels over a mid mantle molding over plain pilasters. Yellow pine throughout. Painted white with an early brown paint underneath. Square nails visible on back. Very good condition. 67 1/4" height x 70 3/4" width. Circa 1810-1820.
