East Tennessee stoneware jar, attributed to Charles Decker pottery of Washington County, TN. Marked "2" on the rim for gallon capacity, extruded lug handles. The size, style, and location of the "2" on the crock, the style of the extruded handles and sine wave design are all characteristics of Charles Decker pottery. Condition - minor chips, one area inside jar with pitting. 12" height.
