Oil on canvas painting by Knoxville, Tennessee artist Eleanor McAdoo Wiley (1876-1977). Eleanor studied art at the University of Tennessee and Stevens Art School in Gatlinburg, TN. She was a founder of the Dulin Gallery of Art in Knoxville and member of the Nicholson Art League. Examples of her work are illustrated in the "Art & Furniture of East Tennessee", Namuni Hale Young, p. 89, figure 27 and p. 106, figure 60. Condition - canvas re-lined with the label of Daly & Foster, conservators, Brightwood, Virginia. 19" x 23 3/4", frame 24" x 28 3/4".
