Virginia cobalt decorated stoneware jar, attributed to Henry Lowndes, Petersburg, Virginia (courtesy Leland Little). Stylized vine and bud design on both sides with cobalt decoration at base of each handle. Three incised lines on upper shoulder. Condition - excellent. No visible cracks, chips, or repairs. 13 1/2" height. Early to mid 19th century.
