Southern stoneware pitcher, found in Bristol, TN. Cobalt designs similar to Northern Virginia forms. Floral designs around the circumference of pitcher, stamped "I" on rim area. Large salt glaze deposit on one side. Handle with central ridge, appears to be extruded. Beaded foot. Condition - hairline at terminus of handle, hairline approximately 1.5" near rim, old shallow flake to rim. 10 5/8" height. Mid 19th century.
