Sheraton chest of drawers, Southern or Mid Atlantic. Consisting of four graduated dovetailed drawers over turned Sheraton feet. Cockbeading around each drawer, stiles have graduated reeded carving. Post and panels side and back. Walnut drawer fronts, Cherry sides and top, Poplar secondary throughout. Retains an old surface with alligatoring of the varnish on the drawer fronts, retains three of the original four drawer locks . Condition - replaced brasses, minor replacements of cockbeading on drawers sides, minor repairs to drawer sides. Dimensions - 43" width x 43 5/8" height x 21 7/8" depth. Early 19th century.
