Inuit stone carving of man holding a seal. Eskimo art label on bottom with number inscribed, "11502" as well as Inuit symbols. Inuit symbols or letter inscribed on bottom. Condition - appears to have a shallow chip to beak or could be a carving flaw. 2 3/4" height. Circa 1960s.*Attributed to Tuna Iquliq of Baker Lake, however, the appearance of the stone on this bird carving does not resemble the stone found in her work (*Attribution remarks courtesy of Bob Selley, Inuit Gallery of Vancouver).
