Description
A late 19th century 15ct gold opal and diamond ring. Comprising three graduated oval opal cabochons, with old-cut diamond double spacers, to the tapered sides and plain band. Hallmarks indistinct. Weight 3.8gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band shows evidence of repair/ resize, partially obliterating the hallmarks. Diamonds fairly bright. Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Small, scattered inclsuions. Two opals with significant chips. Opals heavily abraded. Fair play of colour. Ring size N. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
